At one point they had a super active Reddit and Facebook but Reddit was deleted and FB is monitored like a prison camp and anything not glowingly positive is deleted. The podcast also stopped accepting any criticism some years back. But instead they are relied on to vomit horror stories at a Stephen King pace and even he misses sometimes. Sadly at some point the show honestly got too big too fast and now relies on the same handful of writers who once wrote a good story or two and that was it. David was hand picking Reddit horror stories and the show was quality over quantity. The first few seasons are absolutely elite. The only “agenda” going on is being realistic and inclusive of people that before, we played pretend with and acted like they weren’t there.ĭon’t get me wrong the first 8-ish seasons are the best of the best and forged a new path for a horror community in the podcast world. We just admit people different than us exist know instead of pretending otherwise). They are cowards and hate change (nothing is changing even. And don’t mind the bigots that seem to have infiltrated our horror genre and leave bad reviews. I’ll get that season pass at some point lol. Thank you all at no sleep and keep doing what you are doing. I do tend to like the older stories a bit better. The stories on the free version are great but I’ve caught up now and would love to go round again with the season pass stories. I really want to buy season passes but I’m never able to afford it. I was a huge reader of the Reddit sub by the same name and loved listening through each season after I discovered the podcast. These narrators have filled many nights of mine driving the Highways of rural Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia and Ohio and kept it spooky enough to keep myself awake. ![]() Sometimes 8 hours one way and then again to pick him up from his hotel a week later to spend the weekend with him. I’ve been a listener for years, starting when I used to drive my husband to his traveling lineman gig. I can’t listen to any story that she reads bc i can’t get past her terrible reading. Actually, I’ve pretty much made my mind up to buy them. ![]() I just started listening, but it’s pretty good so far! I’m impressed!! And I’m seriously considering buying season passes. You guys keep up the good work!Īlso, just going to throw this out there in case the No Sleep folks read this review: Would you guys do a collab with Dead By Daylight? I think it’d be cool playing as one of the voice actors, or even Cummings as well as maybe one of the more prolific monsters from the tales they’ve told. The only thing I’m not looking forward to with this podcast is catching up to the current episodes and having to wait for new ones to come out. Even the stories I didn’t like (which hey, with a horror story podcast that tells several different stories, not every one of them will be one I jam with) we’re still told in an amazing way. But if anything, I’d say that’s a good problem to have. I’m fact, my only complaint about the quality is the fact that it’s been so good that it sets the bar a little high for other shows out there. ![]() I’ve been listening since 2018 and while it’s taking me longer than I’d like to get through the entire catalogue ( I listen to too many podcasts at once and I rotate what I listen to), the quality of the show continues to get better and better. Seriously, this is one of, if not the best horror story podcasts out there.
